WILL YOU PLEASE LEAVE FLORIDA THIS TIME?!! We don't want to lose you.

And give yourself plenty of time. When we were evacuated out of the South Sarasota area from Charley it took 3 hours to go about 3 miles. Gas stations were out of gas, grocery stores were out of water and other necessary items. Walmart and Home Depot started to close due to lettting their employess get home to their families. This left people needing propane and other supplies.
THEN there was highway 75!! What a nightmare. Cars overheating, people having to use the "restroom" on the side of the highway.......
just be prepared, if you have to leave....leave. And do it early enough. Go as far north as possible and call ahead to make hotel reservations if you have to. I know from experience that all of the hotels will start get full. There is no telling (learn from Charley) where this monster is going or where it will decide to turn. Inland is not safe either.
BE SAFE!!!

hope everyone got through Frances OK, things got pretty windy & rainy here in Cape coral but no major damage this time luckily. But as just mentioned.... next is Ivan, introducing Hurricane Ivan, the 3rd cat 4 hurricane this season. I truly hope this monster stays away this time!
