Brissle Worm?

I was looking in my tank last night after the lights had gone out and I notice this huge brissle looking worm thing. It was a opaque colored worm about 1/4 wide by at least 4-6 inches long. While it looks something like the other brissle worms i have seen it doesn't have the red ends on it body. Any ideas? I'll try to get a pic of this monster tonight if he comes out.
I thought 6 line wrasses where suppose to eat those things. I've got a tank full I think they are getting out of control. How can I get rid of these things? They are in the LR and substrate. HELP!!!!!

thats what they are supposed to do. the live in the rock and sand and come out usually at night and eat deterious and left over foods. the only way they will get overpopulated is if you overfeed your tank the more food the more worms there will be.
but they are good guys.

I had so many in my tank i just cut back on feed for a month or so. Also at nighttime after your lights have been out for awhile get a flashlight cover the end with clear red plastic and go hunting any big ones i see i grab them with a pair of 12"long tweesers and toss them outside. i also have a CBS i always see him picking at the littel bristle worms. With all this i have see a HUGE difference.
Hope this helps

I appreciate it. I only feed once a day and that is the cubed either brine or pymisis shrimp how ever you spell it lol from the LFS I feed one cube a day. and I think silver sides every tuesday for my aneomes. but just enough for each one. It just suprised me last night when i saw it. i was like what the heck is that monster. Also last night my rabbit fish and tang decided to eat one of my peppermint shrimp. FWIW, Frozen brine shrimp hold little to no nutritional value to your inhabitants. Its regarded as more of like a snack not a staple. And you could prob substitue with a good quality frozen like Formula 1 or even flake or pellet. And once a day maybe too much, I feed my fish every other day. The amount is obviously based on how many fish you have but a 2 minute rule is a good guideline. IMO.
