Bristal worms

How do i prevent those long, nasty pink worms from taking over my tank??
Friend had a tank and they took over everything, man it was gross

Pull them out when you see them. Not with your hands though the bristles will stick in your hand and hurt like heck.

ok thanks. So thats the only way to get rid of them? There no way to prevent from them taking over?
I mean, he had 100's of them. His gravel was pretty much pink at night, and they were in every hole on the rock and corals..

I would not worry about the small ones and they are going to be hard to get, when I feed my clowns the larger ones will come out and that's when I get em! you can also try a coral banded shrimp..

Don't overstock and don't overfeed.
These worms eat the leftovers and anything that has died. If there are no leftovers then the worm population will decline.
If you remove the worms then the stuff will just rot and foul the tank. I would bet that if you friend had managed to remove all his worms his tank would have crashed.

the worm are good things. They are part of your clean up crew. You can also get a sixline wrasse. I have one and I see him eat bristle worms always

I hear a lot of people saying their sixlines eat bristles
Mine will swim right past them. He pigs out on mysis shrimp and pods though
