Bristle Worm

I've been seeing this bristle worm for a couple of weeks now and I think he is killing my turbo snails when they come by his rock at night. This is the third snail I've lost in his area now. Is he killing them or just feeding on the remains? Tried to catch him in one of those cheap tube traps but he looks to big to fit. Will they kill snails? How do I catch this guy, he is BIG like this long ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~. Anyone have any Ideas?

ive always thought having bristle worms was a sign of a healthy tank cause they eat what ever that could be in the substrate.. i set my tanks up and let them take their natural course.. my current tank is bristle worm less and i cant get coraline to grow.. something must be different in the RO/DI water i use.

bristle worms don't attack unprovoked,; they only devour snails that are dead or about to die. there must be something stressing your snails.

He's 6 to 8 inch's long and about as round as a fountain drink straw! I tried to catch him last night but he lightning fast. Don't thing I'll be able to catch him by a set of forceps, he also looks to big for my trap I bought at LFS.
