brittle star

I noticed yesterday that it looks like my brittle star is gonna lose a leg.:( what causes this?

I think your thread got lost.
How did you acclimate him to the tank?
how long has he been in the tank?
and what are your water parameters?
usually a bad acclimation period will have this affect on them some make and others dont.
How is the star doing I know its been a few days?

he's doing o.k., hasn't lost the leg, very active, looks good.I think i did acclimate him rather quickly.

that was probably it I am glad to hear he is doing good though.
I have three green brittle in my tank that were buried in some LR in my aggressive all there legs were done to stubs and have grow back out to about 3 inches now so they are a hardy star.

lights are cool! love the look of the 50/50 bulbs!!

I drop krill and other larger pieces pf food like squid, shrimp pieces, and shrimp pellets close to where they hang out and it doesnt take long all the arms are out and grabbing.

I hand feed mine - they can smell anything and grab the food right from my fingers.
In fact one of mine likes to sit on my hand when I'm feeding my anemonie
