brittle starfish & arm

hi,
saw in my tank this part of the arm of the green brittle had broken off - is the starfish ok? do I have to do anything?

If the starfish is healthy and didn't lose part of the arm due to disease, it will regenerate a new one.

How long have you had this brittle?
Is it only part of the arm, or the entire arm?
What do you feed it?
What, specifically, are your water parameters, especially specific gravity?
What are your tank inhabitants?
