I have one in my reef ~ he's great. We call him Mr. Personality because he likes to touch our hands if/when they are in the tank.

They live in the rocks..you won't see them much, but when you do it is a rare treat. In our house..whenever someone sees the star fish they give a yell that its out...everyone gathers around the tank to see it.
I feed them shrimp chunks when the moonlights are on with lights out..but usually all I see are its arms reaching out for it.

There hit and miss mine killed a fish and a shrimp, and no it's not the green one

Mine is the green one and at a little over 20in across this ole boy will eat anything of opportunity. Newly molted shrimp, the molt, sick fish etc. I feed mine a carnivore pellet everynight and occasionally a silverside.
Will harass fish if it is really hungry so just keep it fed. Then again I would harass them too if I needed some grub

I have one that has grown to be pretty large over the years. I haven't had any type of problem in my reef system at all. He will crawl up my arm if he's in the mood, it's pretty cool. I have had 2 shrimp go missing in the past 2 months but I can't blame him for sure. (I think I let my iodine get low)

LOL i know nothing about them but i do know they come out at midnight and eat seafood (not fish) (unless it the green one) like shrimp, squid and others and btw i got mines for free XDXDXDXD i brought a live rock right? then i came home then i thought it was bristle wrom but fail it was a brittle starfish XD i got it for free becuase it was hiding in the live rock while i was buying it (im lucky :3)

i have a large green one (10-12'') and the only prob i have had with him is tromping on my corals and knocking them down
