brittle stars

i have a green brittle star, i thought all of it would be kinda hard but i touched it today and the circle was soft, i just wanted to know if that was the norm

Do you mean the central disc? That is where it's organs are, where it's food goes..so yes it is somewhat soft unless full. Have you been spot feeding him? So you know...green brittle stars are predators and are capable of catching your fish.

I'm not sure about that but when it eats mine would pop up a bit . Never touched it but for it to pop up I would think its soft ?? Right now the prob I am having is that someone is eating my star all 5 legs are gone or 80-90 % of each but he still gets around. I don't see who is responsible for this. I have

Starting your own thread on the subject is the polite thing to do, but it sounds like osmotic shock...it comes from being improperly acclimated/handled.

It was one of many that I have. I didn't mean any harm but know one reads my posts Have one about anemone and no ones intrested in it maybe its a stupid question

i have one fish in the tank and its a huge gsm, no i have never spot fed but i see him get food when i feed
