I finally added my brittlestar to the main tank and he hid behind a pile of rocks in the back of the tank. I know this is normal and that they are nocturnal but I want to spot feed him. Will he ever come out or will he maintain this territory where I cannot reach him?

All you need to do is drop, or get the fod near him. He will get it.

Thanks Wamp. Last night I peeked around with a flashlight and I caught a glimpse of a tentacle. Today I suspended krill in that general area and he reached out for it!!! It was exciting for this newbie!

Once he gets used to what you are doing he will come out for you just keep at it!!
