Hi
My emperor biowheel filter just broke (started making crazy grinding noises). I need to replace it with something but don't know what would be best. That filter didn't really fit anyhow now that I added a current usa light setup (I had to push the light fixture forward an inch or so to get it to fit). Here is a little background on my setup...46G tank with 60lbs live rock, aqua c remora hang on skimmer, 2 maxijet 1200's. Its a new setup just finished cycling about a week ago but it will eventually be a reef tank. What else do I need as far as filtration? I am new at this so I don't know if I should be looking at a cannister, another hang on or what? I had read that biowheels might not be that great because they turn into nitrate factories so now I don't know what to get. Please give me any suggestions on what would be best.
