Brown Algae

I have a lot of what looks to be brown algae on my glass and sand. It seems to go away when the lights are off overnight, then slowly builds back up after the lights are back on.
Do I just need a better cleanup crew?

im thinkin diatoms and you can get a fighting conch and itll take care of the problem pretty quickly

that and get onna those magnet glass scrapers andjust crape the glass daily itll eventually die down

Any other suggestions? Or is the fighting conch and the magafloat the best?
