Brown algae

I have a brown algae growing in my tank.....What can i do for it, or what can i buy that will eat it?

I also have noticed brown algae growing in my tank too.. please, can anyone help??

is it a plant free floating, what happens when you touch it,
we need some specifics other than brown algea

Are they new tanks? If so this would be part of the cycling process. I'm new myself to the saltwater scene but I went through this. leave your lights on less. Check your water parimeters, if your using tap water this could also cause it. Snails are good at cleaning it and good water movement. Like I said, I'm new myself, but these guys here are great and this is most of the advise I get.

My tank is about 6 months old... never had an algae issue until just recently when I added a clean-up crew. Weird.
