Brown algae

My tank is almost a month into it now 3 days ago i started to see Brown algae just a bit... Today 3 days later it seems to be growing wild on my sand rock everything is this ok in that fast amount of time? do i need cleaners already? My water tests all came out good today. I have a coralife 48" = 260W lights if that helps. about 20 lbs rock 100 sand...Thanks....

IM guessing you just got done with your cycle? Its probably just diatoms, its normal for you to get diatoms at or near the end of your cycle. They should go away, I couldnt tell you how long you will have them its different for every tank.

Just so you know, after a lawnmower blenny (I love mine) starts eating flake food its algae eating days are pretty much over. The blenny might still go bang his head against the rocks (leave cute kiss marks) but it won't be his main course. Mine even eats brine shrimp now, actually, I don't know what he won't eat...

I think some kind of hermit will eat diatoms. But I mean you should be fine, it should go away sometime in the next couple weeks
