Brown algae

I've had my tank set up for a while now and all i have is a snowflake eel so far. Recently i've noticed some brown algae growing on my rocks and in my sand. I just recently did a 10% water change and parameters are fine. Whats the best way to get rid of it? Should i just put in a few snails?

Snails will certainly help. What is your source water?

I just use tap water with some water conditioner(Prime).
