brown algae

i have a brown algae infestation probaly due from week lighting and using tap water for changes. im going to get a satellite 65 watt with lunar curent usa. when i see the algae i on my sand i would burry it with more sand ansd i would rub it of my live rock.help me

How old is your tank? What size is your tank? What do you use for filtration? Do you have a clean up crew? What are your water test showing?
