how old is your tank? if its recently cycled its just diatoms and you just wait it out.

Are you using RO/DI? If so and its your own unit, when was the last time you changed your filters?

Any other info you might feel is helpful would be nice too. I myself didn't see your other thread a month ago. Hard for folks to help when their in the dark.

I am using RO/DI water...I just started using it, i was using distilled water and bought a ro/di unit. I havent made any other changes to the tank except the change in water and the TDS reading is 1ppm. My bulbs are probably 1 year old and the are the bulbs that came with the Odysessa light(250w halide). I have been having alot of temp fluctuations 80-84? I have check all my water parameters and the only thing that might be off is hardness is 125 i think that is about 7%

Is that a single ended bulb, or the HQI bulb? Either way its time to change it.
Get the KH up for sure if you have coral.

Your new RO/DI is putting out 1ppm? Or you old distilled water was 1ppm?
Did this happen before or after the RO/DI purchase?
I'm guessing your seeing a lot of silicates (diatoms) from the distilled water. Distilled water can be made from RO water. Ro units can pass silicates after a short while. So maybe the source of water has degraded a bit?

Let me clarify, I was distilling the water at home(i own one) and that was 1 ppm, but that was to much work so i bought a ro/di unit also giving me 1ppm, and soon after that i had the breakout. I was using the distilled water for a year and a half with no problems. It is a single ended bulb. Isn't 1ppm out of a ro/di unit good?

How do i safely increase KH?
