Brown algee

In the past 3 days my tank has been overtaken with brown algee. Its a 29 gal. I have 15 hermits, 2 snails, and 2 emrald crabs
What can I do, its ugly.

what are your water levels? how long are your lights on for daily? do you have good flow in your tank?

in my 29g i have like 10-15 snails prolly 20 hermits among others....

if your tank is new (0-9 weeks) its probably just diatom algae. its just a phase in the tank. it will go away soon enough

if its not new, then its bad water quality

I keep my light on 10-12 hours a day and I have a 220g/hour powerhead, Also If I bought a protein skimmer would that help?

i'd say you definately need more flow....i have like 700 or more turnover in my 29g

I bought another powerhead that was 300g/hour and it blew everything around in my tank, my anemone started doing circles through the tank and the fish were pinned against the wall. Where should I place them?

get liek 3 more maxi jet 600's they will keep water movement good but won't overwhelm stuff ...point them at the surface for good surface agitation...then have your current powerhead pointing at the glass or something...you should be okay then
