brown diatoms

recently my 75 reef has been taken over by brown diatoms. the only real change i made was adding a fuge with about 4 to 5 inches of south down for the dsb and some mangroves i got off ----. could that be doing something? also, i use white vinagar to disolve my pickling lime for kalkwasser. i read this was good but im alittle suspicous maybe that has an adverse affect. thanks

It's almost definitely from the new southdown in your fuge. If it doesn't go away shortly, then start worry about the other stuff.

thanks guys, sammy what do you think is in the sand? just curious. and yeah my 4 96 wt pc's are like almost a year so im gunnu start replacin. not easy on a part time lfs job salary!
