brown legged hermit crabs

Hiya,
Anyone know anything about these guys? My store has a bunch in and their huge compared to my scarlet legs. Are they reef safe?

Hiya,
These guys are are as large or larger then the average sized land hermits you see in stores for sale as pets. They need a large shell, though, not the size of one that fills your whole palm.
Nope, not hairy. Pale beige color no stripes or spots that I could see. Tried doing a search on the internet for them but couldn't find anything.

I ordered a bunch of astrea snails off this site and one of these was included, I guess they thought he was a snail. I've had it for over 7 months and he still still fairly small. Seems pretty much the same as the scarlet hermits, except it has smaller pinchers and is a beige color.

just keep in mind that if it's substantially larger than the small hermits (1-2in max), then he'll prolly start eating things you don't want him to
and even if it's smaller without a positive id it's hard to say how it'll act

Hmmm, something I am afraid of. Maybe I'll let them stay at the LFS for a while and see how they do. Maybe get some feedback from folks that might have boufht one/some already.

I have a bunch of the small ones but they never get bigger than the zebras or blue legs.
All the large brown ones I have seen have typically not been reef safe.
