brown sand

I have a 20g thats been set up for three month wih a 36 and two small fish. for christmas i got a 110 w pc light. two days with that light all of my sand is brown. I have no clean up crew. will this go away?

I'd add more clean up crew. They'll help take care of your diatom and algea bloom.

also try to clean any prefilters that helps to cut down on algea blooms
