brown stuff

Gotta question ..... 'Just started cycling my tank about a week and a half ago and I'm getting a light brown coating on everything. I used distilled water when I made my saltwater, and added a good potion of phosguard to my canister filter before starting it, 'trying to keep phosphates low to prevent this sort of thing. Am I correct in assuming this is diatoms and it will clear up as the tank goes through its "cycle" or am I looking at something more serious ??? Thanks !!

i got that when i added my cc
when you take it off its gonna by clumpy and make the tank look bad so i suggest as you scrape it off you go throught with a net and take it out

Thanks, I'll scrape the glass but have it on the decorative coral to. Hopefully when I add the cleanup critters they'll help me out a bit on the decorations. 'Have about 20 turbo snails now, but plan on adding some hermits and camelback shrimp.
