Brown Ugly Algae

There is a brown looking algae growing on some of my rocks, on my glass a little and on the sand. It is almost fuzzy looking. I figured i may not be doing enough water changes so i am doing them once a week now instead of twice a week. I hope this helps. Does anyone think lighting may be the problem? Its not red slime because i have had that before and that is no longer a problem
my lights are on from:
10,000k lights- 12pm-11pm
Blue actinics- 11am-12pm
I think cutting back an hour on lights my help......any ideas? this algae is ugly!

brown? - diatoms maybe - is this a new tank? cerith snails are great diatom eaters / depending on your tank size a fighting conch is clutch too but requires a vast sandbed for grazing - if its a new tank though they should come and go on their own though.

its a yr and a half, i think it may be my salinity. its only at 24. i dont think i need any snails or conches for this, cause there is alot, its more like i need to do more water changes and i think keepin my salinity up to 26 would help. this is the first time i have ever had this problem. im gonna do water changes every 5 days for like a 3 weeks i think, its a 65 gal with a 30 gal sump. i hope this makes senese cuase im EFed up now hhaaha. my fish are happy as can be thogh, ill get back with some water tests tomorrow.
I rarely do tests anymore unless a problem like this strikes, so ima have to do some tests yallllll
