I have a major problem with my tank. It is a 29 gallon cube that has been running for 6 months now i have a cleanup crew of snails and crabs and only three small clowns in the tank. For the past two months the water has been awful. We have done water change after watre change and as soon as the lights come on the water turns a murky brown. Like a rust color. Other times the water is clear just a lil cloudy. Does anyone have any clue what could be going on with this. I am fed up with the whole thing.

What type of filter do you have? Can you give us a description of your tank...example...sand, rock, skimmer, powerheads????
What does your water test at? Do you use tap water? Do you run carbon?
etc etc

I have about 20 lbs of live sand, 45 lbs of live figi rock, i use water from my local store that i have never had a problem with in my 90 gallon, everything is testing normal and yes i use carbon.
