first, i have a green bta(since dec 5 2005) that has seemed unhappy since i placed him in the tank. he lost his bubble tips as i heard is common, but he is not an aggressive eater. i tried chopped up krill, baby brine, formula 2, myst shrimp, and cyclopezee. he will justlay there for about 4 minutes then decide to try and grab the food. i try once a day usally, but sometimes once every two. anyway lets get to the clowns, they have not hosted or even got near this thing, ever! i tried moving the anenome closer to there cave, drawing them in with feeding, and even tried netting thefish and placing them on the anenome. then i was reading a thread hear and some suggested putting a picture of a clown hosting up against theglass. Well, idid it and with in about four hours the male jumped right in. shortly after the female got really close but my twoyear old daughter scared her off. i do have a question though, the male hosted 3 times but now he's not near it, is this to be expected?

I dont feed my BTA's anything, ever. I do have them directly under a 250w MH though. I have had (it) for almost 2 years now. About 4-5 months ago it split into (them). They both stayed in the same spot. The same fasle percs host in them both. They actually feed the BTA's when I feed the tank. Its pretty cool. My O.clowns went a long time before they finally started hosting in the anemone. I didnt do anything to force them, it just kinda happend after awhile. Good luck with yours.

That is awesome, I'm going to try that. My false percs won't host anything.

I won't feed my BTA's much either, about every 2 months I give them some food otherwise VHO/MH combo does the job, and the clowns do the rest, and I have alot of BTA's. Some never get fed and they do fine with my lighting.
The pic thing has been known to work and it sounds like your clown's are begining to acclimate to your BTA. This will be a back and forth, in and out routine for a while, but it sounds like they are doing fine. I'm glad.
Good luck

thanks for the support. the clowns have not been in the bta all day, but they are curious about it. the bta is deflated right now due to pooping, but they are checking it out. i hope this works out well for all parties involved.

Weird. When I added my False Percs they immediately started hosting a bubble coral. That lasted a couple of days, then they found my BTA. The hardly leave it's side now.
