I was asking to try to track down the ammonia. Doesn't sound like you got enough water in the tank for that to be it.

I don't have any experience with that particular problem, but taking from my experience with computer heating, I would say you need an intake fan and an exhaust fan in the lighting. If it can work I'd think that would be best.
