BTA hiding

I have had a BTA for about 3 weeks. I placed him on top of my rocks but all hes done is move down under the rocks in the shade where I can hardly see him. I do have 10,000K actinic lighting and is that scaring him into the shade or is it something else? I hope to solve this problem as I'd like to give my 2 clowns a place to hide. Thanks.

Its just adjusting to the new surroundings. Im sure eventually it will move out to catch some light but its prolly too much in comparison to what it was in. Give it some time

My RBTA did the same thing when I put it in. It crawled under the rocks and when it did finally come out, it came out the back side of the rock wall. So to encourage to move to the front side, I placed a 1x4 over it on top of the tank blocking the light it was getting. Over the course of a week, it moved to the front. Now it's front and center.

The trick was not to remove the plank until the anemone was completely out of the light from the back side of the tank.

How soon it moves to the hiding and how long it has been hiding? Sometimes it is not the light that it is hiding from, may be the water flow. Also how long your tank has been setup and how did you acclimate the anenome?

The BTA hid as soon as it was put in the tank. I didn't didn't do any acclimating...just stuck it right in. I has been hiding for 3 weeks now. My tank was set up in February.
