my friend just left for his 3 months break and left his fish tank with me.
it is a 6 gal nano cube with 18w(or whatever the light come with the tank...) PC light, amazingly he have a pair of false clown, 2x huge hammer coral, bunch o zoa and a BTA the size of 3inch.
the anemone dont have a good color (somewhat yellow/whiteish) I need to keep it alive for 3 months(until my friend come back)
some info on his tank:
6cal, around 8lb of LR, 2inch SB, SG around 1.027-1.030 (was 1.030 when I got the tank, down to 1.028 after couple water changes)
nitrate 20-30 (AFTER 2x water changes) trite, ammonia, etc etc 0.
didnt test hardness/cal level, my cheap test strip says they are ok.
ok here is the deal, I know there is NO WAY an anemone would survive in that tank, I told him before/during/after he brought it, and I will keep doing water change just to keep the trate level down (for the next 3 months)
anything else I could do to help/keep this anemone alive?

ya, move it to a larger, more stable (mature) tank. Other then than, good luck.

it could be possible that it might barely live. if it already looks bad now, 3 months seems like it's pushing it. it might have lost or is losing its zooanthallae.

brine shrimp wont help it. you could try feeding it some different type of food, not sure what they eat. Maybe half a silver side? depending on its size. it should be fed once a week, not sure what the advantage/disadvantages of feeding it twice a week might be. : sorry i'm not much help. maybe you can find a temporary home for it in the mean time with some halide lighting or a better source of lighting.

yeah I told him to let the LFS(good one) to hold it for a while, but he is kinda cheap...
how about a mix of cyclopeez, encapsulated brines? all the silver sides come in a huge 1lb bag D:

you could try that and target feed it with a baster. if it's looking bad then maybe you could feed it more than 2 times a week since it might not have any zooxanthellae... maybe a mix of that with brine or mysis

take it to a pet store and tell him it died, save the poor things life. IMO he is doing very irresponsible husbandry and shouldnt have it.
