I'm looking at purchaseing a large rock from fellow reefer in the communtiy. It is a large rock with 4-5 BTA and mushrooms on the rock. Also would include the 2 clown fish (looks like false percs. My system is a 75 gallon with an abundance of live rock ( I may have to see some off in order to get this piece.) Lights are the Nova Pro T-5 6 light system with indiv. reflectors. Will this lighting be ok for these anenomes? They are currently under halides with the owner. Thanks.

That would depend on the wattage of the t5"s.
Do you mean a 4-5 inch bta or 4-5 bta's? Sorry, don't mean disrespect just clarification.

The rock has 4 to 5 separate anenomes on it. They look to be about 2-3 inches each and in good health. My lights are 65 watts per bulb (x6). Watts per gallon seems to be appropriate especially being they would be higher in the tank. Rock is huge and tall, so there is no other way for it to not be high in the tank unless they choose to relocate!

Are you sure they are bta's? Can you describe what they look like, this sounds very odd that someone would sell so many together, usually sold singly. What color and shape? If they are bta, your lights would work for them but please, I want to see a photo, this sounds extremely cool.

This is the only pic I have, one that he emailed me. He is breaking down his entire system. Pics looked like BTA to me, though I could be wrong on that.

Do those look a little strange, the bubble tips are aparent but those outer tentacles are so thin. I have to say, I have never seen bta's like this before, they are cool though.

The guy never said what kind of anenome they were. I saw the bubble like tips and figured they were BTA's. They are unusual looking. When I first saw them I thought they were hairy mushrooms.

You know what, what ever they are I really like them. If you like them, that is all that matters, a very nice addition.
