Bubble Algae infestation??

I had bubble algae a few years ago in my 90 gal tank..... they disappeared for a couple a years..... They are back.....
My water parameters are great..... RODI water, refugium, protein skimmer, etc....
Why do they come back??? Do they have some kind of cycle?
Thanks

Maybe it hitchhiked in on one of those. Even a single bubble the size of a pinhead can cause an outbreak if the parameters are right.

I've watched both of mine picking hair algae from around corals, but have never witnessed them nipping the corals or bothering any snails. Of course... I'm not always watching.

There are several different species of bubble algae. Post a pic and we can help ID it and set up an action plan and give you more info on it.
