Bubble Algae

Take the pieces of live rock out of the tank, and just pull it off. Don't do it in the tank, because if they pop it will spread all over the tank.

Emerald crabs will help keep it under control. They are reef safe if that is a concern for you. You can also pick them off with your hand but do this very carefully. You DO NOT want to pop the bubble in your tank. It will release spores and make the problem worse.

Same here. Emeralds are very cool and get the job done.
I break a couple of them on purpose to give my guys some natural food.

When I do this I rinse the rock with SW before I put it back in my tank, just in case some spores got on the rock.

You break the bubbles? Doesn't this cause the algae to spread?

Yes, but I want it to spread. It gives the emeralds a food source they like and keeps them busy working. I only break 1 or 2 small ones. NEVER a big one. May need and army at that point. ***)
