Bubble Algea outbreak and questions

hey everyone,
could you guys inform me on bubble algea, i got it as a hitch hiker on a lr and now its starting to outbreak, my crab has died, im guessing he was keeping it under control, then my shrimp and hermits dont eat it nor do my chromis and damsels. my question is what does eat it or what chemical can i use as a last resort and what cause it to begin with. everything else is fine, and no other problems. anyother info just ask ill be on for awhile.

Emerald crabs are supposed to take care of it. I've got about half a dozen in my tank but I've never seen them eating it. I usually have to pick out the large 'bulbs' by hand.

Palmer is right.You can also use a shringe filled with vary vary hot water.And inject them.Just be sure that they are not to close to other corels.Thats how I got rid of mine.And it hasent been back since.

Get a Foxface Rabbitfish if your tank is big enough. They love bubble algae.
