Bubble coral woes

Hey I got a pearl bubble coral. It was HUGE when i got it and i acclimated it to my tank and it was doing fine untill a few days ago. Now it is barely open and the tissue looks like its starting to peel. I am really concerned. I have it in a 29 gal bow with 4 T5's i feed it once a week with mysid and phytoplankton. Water parameters are perfecty. Temp stays at a constant 78 every day all day and im using REAL seawater that is purified sterilized and pumped. This tank is at my work, *marine bio job* any ideas guys? I moved the coral to a tank with halides in hopes i could save it.

I would think that drastically changing the lighting without acclimating the coral to it would be bad. My bubble is at the bottom of my tank and loves it down low. :notsure:

The worst thing you're doing rigt now is keep taking it out of different tanks...Leave it under your t5's, it will be fine. Test all of your parameters and post the results so we can see if your problem is there. When first introduced to the tank, what was your acclimation procedure?

All parameters are great
Salinity 35
Ph 8.2
Temp 78
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
I am using REAL sea water pumped RIGHT from out side my door.
Acclimation was first a temperature acclimation for 30 minutes followed by drip acclimation for 2 hours.

There is no turning back now. Its gone. Might as well throw it away already. Same thing happened with mine and never did figure out what happened.

Im sorry to hear about your bubble, I have had the motto if your water quality is right and lights are right try try again, Took 3 different frogspawns to get one that stayed alive and flourished, but ive never lost a shroom, Nobody knows how these corals where treated before we got our hands on them, they may have toxins or be bleached or a multitude of reasons that are out of our hands of why this stuff happens. That is one reason why this is an expensive hobby especially if your going reef. Your going to have a loss of life no matter what in this hobby no matter what your experience levels are in this hobby. It not really in our hands to be "God" and decide when its "time" for these cretures to expire...All we can do is be responsible and hope for the best!!!If you want that bubble go for another and hope for the best!! Never ever ever give up on your dreams:)

HAhah thanks man... that is a good piont. Its still depressing to blow 50 bucks on something so beautiful and watch it die. I cant help but feel partially responsible.

Im a typical man and blame it on someone else but loosing the money always sucks, I took a $20 bill once and light it on fire once to show how expensive this hobby really is...
