Hey everyone....quik ??? I left for out of town and upon returining today, my tank was covered with air bubble things all over the place. I mean there were hundreds of these lilttle bubbles stuck against the glass, power heads and prefilter. It was strange. I cleanded them off with my scrapper. Any ideas what this was? I know its not air bubbles from any type of pumps.
I have a 75 gallon with 60 lbs of LR, 4 in LS and some polyps and mushrooms. I also have a yellow tang and two dominos and the standadrd clean up crew...thanks!!!

Any chance someone added something to your tank while you were away ????
How old is your tank ????
could be small O2 gas bubbles produced by alage.
could be small CO2 gas bubbles coming out of solution but I doubt that.
could be nitrogen gas from denitrfying bacteria.
my guess is O2 gas formed by light film of algae that can cover most everything in the tank, including glass, powerheads, rock and substrate.
Only a guess though.

Are they air bubbles for sure? I was thinking that some of the small sponges look like bubbles in the beginning, and pods will too. If you stare at them, do they move at all? If so, they could be pods.
Just a thought...
