Hello,
I just purchased a green bubble tip anemone. I have a 55 gallon tank with coralife powercompact lighting. I was wondering if i have to feed it or not, If so what does everyone recommend feeding it. Let me know
Thanks!
If you have clownfish, and they are hosting it, they "should" feed it. However, mine apparently don't understand that concept and would much rather I stick my hand in the tank and risk losing a finger to feed the damn things. I have two GBTA and one RBTA and I feed all three with Mysis Shrimp and occasionaly live baby brine or feeder shrimp. They're main diet is definitely Mysis.
You may not have success with this anemone under power compacts. They really need higher output from T5HO's and MH's so keep an eye on it and try to keep it in as high of lighting spot as you can for greater success.
Good luck
