Bubbles coming from DSB

I noticed last night while watching my new purple firefish explore his new home that there were bubbles every now and then coming from my DSB. I think I remember someone saying before that this a good sign. Is it caused by critters moving around and causing other biological processes down there? I also notice some bristleworms for the first time this week. There was one that was about 2 1/2 inches long which made me very happy.

The bubbles from your dsb are a good thing, they show that your dsb is breaking down nitrate into nitrogen and releasing the gas to bubble out of your tank. This is what removes your nitrates, hence why dsb's are great for keeping your water quality high with minimal water changes. Glad to hear your dsb is culturing nicely! :)
