bubbles everywere

I have a problem. I just set up a new sump and the prefilter box for my skimmer doesn't fit in it. If I don't use the box the tank fills up with little bubles. Do you think if I moved the skimmer to my fuge it would work effectivily? My fuge is low flow <100 gph, because it is only a ten gallon tank. Any other ideas on how to make the bubbles go away would be greatly apreciated? Thanks for the help,

skimmer will be fine in the fuge. same water as in the main.
you may get more of a film on the top of the main tank depending on our set up.

yah, same water, but I was thinking because the flow is so low in the fuge it wouldn't be as effective. I didn't know, so I figured I would ask.
