Please forgive me for not doing a search on this, I know there have been threads on it, but I just got home from work...and I'm tired....:(
BUT....Can someone tell me what it means if you see bubbles coming from the sand? If I should do anything?

This is my 29G BTW
Thank you in advance

I got home....sat on couch for a sec.....saw a bubble come from sand and float upwards.....did a double take....saw another....and a third....
GOT UP
stuck a stick in the sand....another bubbles floated up
THERE are NO bubbles left anywhere.....they floated up and popped....(I guess)

Not very relevant to a 29g saltwater tank, but whenever we go up north to a small lake, ill step in the sand and bubble float up.

Bacteria responsible for denitrification as well as cyanobacteria aids in splitting NO3-(nitrate) ions into nitrogen and oxygen gas. Since this bacteria is present in sand...well you can fill in the rest.
