bubbles in the sand bed

I have noticed that there are many many bubbles in the sand bed (I can see them through the glass). Should I be worried?

No, as long as they are in the top level that pretty normal. If you have a DSB, you do not want bubbles at the lower levels. Top two-three inches have oxygen, so sometimes you wil see algea growing on the glass below the sand line.

Ok good! My sand bed is between 1-2in deep, so that seems ok! Thanks!

it smells like the ocean, no odd smell that I've noticed.
