Ive ready a few different threads on what these bubbles are but wanted to get a 3rd eye on it, is this algae growing or dying, good or bad.
Thank you,

Looks like it might be canyo? Or do you have a lot of air bubbles in the tank maybe the protein skimmer puting off a lot of bubbles. Yes I would take a baster and blow it off. If they are hard and green it might be bubble algea. Dont bust them the spores inside will spread.

It looks like it is cayno. What are your phos? I am assuming you use RODI water. Do you get you water from your LFS or do you make it your self? It could also be you are not getting enough flow in that area. It is not all that bad but if you dont find the culprit than it can start to cause problems.

The bubbles appear in the morning when the light comes on. Ive been trying to get my nitrate levels down, been doing more water changes, changed salt type to coral pro salt, installed a psk-75 in a 55 gal hex tank. I had another protein skimmer but trying the psk-75.
Right now both are running till i sort out this nitrate issue.
Tanks been up for 5 + years, im trying to transitioni to a reef tank., I am going to a RODI water that I will be making myself. I just got TDS monitor and my number is high (400) from tap water, gettin a rodi thing.
flow I just got a new power head too, right now i have two running so not sure flow is the issue...after more reading it may be micro bubbles from the skimmer breaking in? but this started around the time i started to pick up my water changes and the new salt about a month ago, new skimmer is 5 days old.

That salt is not made by red sea is it? With TDS meter reading a 400 that is high. That could be your problem. Are you running any phosphate remover? If not I would start.

Yep, I think your problem is your source water. You should see more stable parameters, etc once you switch to ro/di water.
