buffer

Can cichlid buffer be used in saltwater systems?
My PH is at 7.8 and I need to raise it.
Are there any other ways of raising it without buying buffer?

as long as your salt levels are good during your water changes and your PH also there is no need to buffer anything except maybe calcium. but to answer you question NO if it is not recomended for salt water use......
7.8 is not real low, when are you checking it, before lights on,during,or after lights off..?????
