Bug Bombs, Help

I Think we got fleas in our Apt. I used some sprays but that did not work. I am thinking about using a bug bomb. Is there any safe that i can use around fish tanks. If not i can use any suggestions/help available!

I would not use a bug bomb with a fish tank in the place even if it is covered the poison will be in the air and will get in the fish tank. What are you using on any pets to control fleas? Why don't you call an extermanitor and see if they have solved a flea problem without a bug bomb. Is there some powder that you could put in the carpet and then vaccum up later?

I agree a bug bomb would not be ideal, but if you must, I would take off any hob filters/skimmers and remove anything that might be sticking out above the top rim of your tank. Seal it up as best you can with a trashbag or some sort of plastic sheeting and seal it with duct tape. take all removed components and equipment you ever put in your tank (hoses, nets, etc.) out of the blast zone. Then bomb away. Those things take about 3 hours, right? I feel like your tank would be fine being sealed up for 3 hours, but I am not sure. I'd most worry about the oxygen getting depleted, but then again fish get shipped in sealed bags, so maybe it's not a problem.
But yeah, get some powder.

I have had my house sprayed by Terminex and there were no problems there. However, I have heard bad things when people got their house bombed because that stuff gets into the air.
I would first look toward alternative options before bug bombing your house.

Bug bomb would be hairy. If you do use it. Just make sure your tank is completely sealed. Running fresh carbon is also a thought.
Not sure how long it takes the pesticide to settle where it's no longer in the air.
Good luck

I live in south texas and fleas are everywear, get some 7 dust, and dump it on your carpet everywear. Leave it for an hour or so, then vac. Cover your tank, everything. Then wait 11 days that is the gestation of fleas. And repeat.
This works.
bug bombs don't

Try dusting the carpet with diatom powder. It will work its way into the flea and basically stab it. It is inert and will not harm your fish. You can get it either from your local reef shop (used in diatom filters) or from horticultural centers. Try to avoid getting into the tank, though I doubt it would do any harm.
And use Frontline or something on your pets or bath them once a week.

Terminex sprays liquid on the floor in all corners/bases. It does not go into the air at all.

I was a Pest control tech in FL for a few years and did quite a few flea jobs. I would agree with this one. If you don't treat atleast twice they will continue to hatch. Don't stop with just the carpets make sure to get under the couch cushions, baseboards, window curtains, dog beds etc... and make sure your dogs are getting treated at the same time. I've never used seven dust for fleas before we used either suspend/cynoff and nylar. If you can get nylar or another Insect growth regulator it would help alot. This doesn't allow them to reproduce.
