Bugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi i have about seven stony corals and i am relitvely new to these corals. problem is i noticed these bugs on two of them now one is dead all of a sudden . was fine this morning now the one is completely dead . they are tiny tiny orange colored buggers smaller than copodes when they just hatch .what are these and are they really bad . i saw a damsel picking on the dead one and im wondering if he had something to do with it . i sure could use some help with this , dont want to lose anymore .

Oh no!. It sounds like red bugs. There's a picture I have permission to use... lemme see if I can find it.
You can google that and come up with lots of data. Post this is the SPS section, they'll know more about it.

Try dipping the coral in Reef Dip for about 20min. I believe I'm having a similar problem with some type of strange black flatworm. Dip the coral and blow the coral off every now and than with your hand to knock off any attached parasites.

Thanks i did a freshwater dip hopefully that did the trick because it is looking ok for the meanwhile. Had not heard of the reef dip will have to look into it before purchasing anymore. Thx guys

I can't believe I can't find the pic. It was one of the best pics I've seen. If I find it and it has a credit notation I will put it up.
Sorry, I was going to PM but you don't have that priviledge yet. Do a search on Red Bugs and interceptor. A FW dip will do nothing I'm afraid.

Thanks for the info .I still have not seen any tho and they were very evident before . I still am going to get some reef dip though for any new corals introduced. I tell ya soft corals are so much easier.
