Buiding a Refugium.

I have made the decision to empty out the clutter in the stand under my 46 gal bow and put in a refugium. I am using a 15 gallon tall tank with a CPR overflow box and a return pump. What I would like to know is what my refugium should consist of as far as sand, rock algae, livestock Etc.... Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

Ialso have about 15lbs of "rubble rock"in mine.Rubble is the small broken piaces that can be found at the bottom of the live rockholding tanks of some LFS's and online vendors...It is usually very cheap,if not free....
