i want to add a hood to my tank, so i might as well DIY my own lighting system and save myself a bunch of money.
is it better to totally diy the lights by buying the end caps and ballasts separate... or does this seem like a pretty good deal...

thats 344, but no bulbs. add another 150 just for bulbs.
im not sure on which t5's to get... what is the difference between...
1. TRU actinic
2. actinic+
3. actinic blue +
4. pure actinic
