Building sump/refugium out of two 10 Gallon Tanks

Glad you enjoyed the reading material.......3"x3" would work....anyway you could stretch it a hair more......The only reason I ask is not sure if your planning on employing a filter sock or not possibly in that area.......
i was just planning on putting some live rock in there. I could probably make it 4X4 im still working on getting everything drawn up with the measurements. but im going to go with the sc65 skimmer and it has a footprint of 7"X4"X17" so im planning on making the first chamber 8" long and however wide the tank is. the bubble trap will be in one corner of the first chamber.
