Bulb for normal fluorescent hood

Is there a bulb I can get to brighten up the tank and make the fish look more colorful? I have a standard fluorescent type hood with a normal old fluorescent bulb in it. Can anyone give me some recommendations?
Thanks,

Generally speaking, the bluer the lamp spectrum the more flourescent colors look however the whiter the lamp spectrum the brighter the tank looks.

Try a 50/50. It's got a decent amount of white and blue to it. Just remember that you're not going to be able to keep coral with a standard output fluorscent tube.
