Bulb problems

I recently switched my metal halides from Hamilton Tech to Ushio brand bulbs. Both are 10,000K and 175 watts. However, the Ushio bulbs have trouble turning on, if at all. Sometimes the bulb starts to light up but ends up shutting off after a minute or so. Has anyone else had this problem? What do you suggest? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

What type of ballast are you using?

I am using a universal lighting tech. 175 watt ballast. One for each of the three bulbs.
