so what ---- metal halide bulb is good? i see some for $10 $20 $40 i dont know how they r but sure beats paying $ 70 at a store

If the bulbs are made for a fish tank...go for it..I never knew they ran that cheap. If they are not made for a fish tank...pass on them and pay the $70.00 like I do.

I am not sure that means it's for fish tanks...I think all metal Halides have a K rating.

Honestly, if they're not a common brand name like Ushio, Radium, XM, etc, I wouldn't buy them. Especially if they're so cheap, they probably have poor output and lifespan too.
As for kelvin; it's more of what you like. 10K will be more white/yellow, 20K will be more blue.

It is up to you if you want to try it...do you trust the person who says it works the same? Maybe try it and only have 1 light needy coral and see how it does... keep us posted...your tank can be the test site.

yea but just cause they work the same way doesnt mean its gonna last forever like all halides do. IMO i wouldnt do it. i will never buy any imitations on ----. i was gonna do it but regret it. read some reviews on them

I do have a 10K I will sell you for $30.00 or trade for something, put it in the middle and 2 14K on each side. That should look nice. UMMM I am not sure if I am allowed to offer that????

ok so i got the bulbs yesterday from the ---- seller . they are awsome to tell u the truth . i thought i payed 48 for 1 but i got 2
. they are the 175mh bulbs . will buy again
