Bullies.....I can't win!

Does this sound familiar in your tank?? First I had a tank with peacful fish except for the neon damsel who bullied the yellow damsel. Got rid of the neon damsel and the yellow damsel started bulling the flame angel and the six line. Removed the yellow damsel and the sixline started chasing after and bitting the smaller royal gamma. Everytime I remove a bully the fish that was being bullied turns to the next fish in the pecking order and bullies it. The new bullies were not bothering any fish until the one after them was removed. How can I win? I am going to put the yellow damsel back in to chase after the sixline so that he will be too busy running to beat up on the royal gamma. Fish!!!

Yup,This happens to me all the time.Damsels pick on smaller fish so get rid of damsels.Crabs chase fish...get rid of crabs...and so on.Now I am trying to stick with small fish that wont bother anything.Even "Peaceful" fish seem to become bullies in the pecking order. You are not alone.

Actually, My damsels never bit at fins...should have kept all of them. That dam sixline is bitting the small royal gamma's fins and body. I was so mad last night I almost flushed the sixline! I don't know if the gamma will survive. Lesley
