Bully Naso

:help: I have a 180 gal tank - the only fish I have in there currently is a 6 in Naso and a couple of damsels. I added a Powder Brown last night and Lips immediately started picking. This morning the Brown was laying in the corner pretty beaten up. I put Brown in an isolation tank and he is swimming around and eating good. I'm concerned that he can't seem to swim straight. He keeps going to his side like he is having trouble keeping up. Help! I don't want to lose him. I want to put him back in the big tank, but I don't want him to get beat up. Help

I've found that it can be difficult to introduce another tang to a system with one already established. When I added my purple to my 100 with my regal already there they had some issues. I turned the lights off for a few days and after that they have peacefully co-existed just fine. Sometimes there is nothing you can do.....maybe try leaving the lights off for a day or so...possibly re-arrange the LR prior to introducing the new tang....sometimes little gimmics can help and other times it'll simply not work out.

I agree with NM. I don't think I am really going to be able to add another tang to my 210 without major problems from my kole. He does not take well to new fish, especially fish that resemble him.

Sometimes it does not really matter what the size of the fish is. I just introduced a very aggressive angelfish that was the same size as my kole and my kole picked on the angel for 2 days.

I think Naso has had the tank to herself for too long. I am going to isolate her, then retroduce her after I have added other fish to the big tank.
